The young and the old, of Hollins Road Church of the Brethren, put on their costumes and celebrated Halloween Friday, October 24th.  There was pizza, apple bobbing, crafts, games, prizes in addition to finishing the night off with trunk or treating.  Thanks Kim for making a memorable time for all!

Vacation Bible School

This years Vacation Bible School was the week of July 7th - 11th.  The kids had a blast…making new friends, amazing crafts, mind-blowing Bible adventures, hyper speed games and incredible music.  The kids discovered Jesus’s miraculous power through Group’s “Power Lab“, while learning the following Bible points each night.  

  • Jesus gives us the power to “Be Thankful”
  • Jesus gives us to power to “Help Others”
  • Jesus gives us the power to “Be Brave”
  • Jesus gives us the power to “Live Forever”
  • Jesus gives us the power to “Tell Others About God”

 Thanks to Kim for heading up and those who helped in order to make this years VBS a success.

2007 Christmas Children’s Program

Ashley and MicheleThe theme for the 2007 Christmas Children’s Program was “Jesus The Best Present Of All”.  The kids did a wonderful job with many singing solos and speaking parts.

Halloween Costume Party

Halloween Costume Party will be on Fri. Oct. 26th from 6:30-8:00pm.  So, put on your costumes, grab a friend, and come join us for a “howling” good time!  There will be activities, games, food, and much, much more; and we’ll finish up the party with trunk-or-treating!!!!  Hope to see you there rain or shine!  Please see Kim Martin with any questions!  (Must be 12 yrs. old or under to participate and must be dressed in an appropriate costume.)  Any monetary donations or candy donations are appreciated.  We strongly encourage everyone to come out and support this event-we would love to see the parking lot full of cars for the children to trunk-or-treat from.  We would also like to have some carved pumpkins to light the path to the cars!!!!
